Blackbeard

Edward Teach or more commonly know as Blackbeard quickly became known as on the the greatest pirates of his time. Although his reign of terror did not last very long it was really only about two years where he was being an active pirate. He lived in England and would attack ships heading to the American colonies and some in the Caribbean sea.

The one attack that set Blackbeard up for most of his success was when him and his crew attacked La concord.

La concord was a 200-ton slave ship with 16 cannons that was on its third trip across the Atlantic when Blackbeard's crew set eyes on it.

Although it might have seemed like a difficult task to take down La Concord it was actually a very easy target for him and his crew.
Blackbeard had 150 crew members while La Concord only had 60 and over half the crew was sick with dysentery and scurvy.

Once they got ahold of it they renamed it queen annes revenge which remained Blackbeard's primary ship until June of 1718 when it was wrecked on a sandbar near Beaufort Inlet North Carolina
a few months after black beard wrecked queen annes revenge he was killed in a battle with British naval forces in the Pamlico sound.

The boat was discovered long after that in 1966 by pirate salvagers based in Palm Bay,
Florida
